4/50- 25 Girl Crush challenge, Kylie Minogue.
 
I don't really think i need to explain why i think Kylie is amazing. To me it's fairly obvious! She's very inspirational!
One of my earliest clear memories is sitting in front of my Tv whilst Top of the Pops was on and Kylie came on, she was singing Can't get you out of my head. This was the first song i ever learnt the lyrics to.
She's very talented, beautiful and just an amazing woman!

I LOVE this woman!
I want to be her so badly.
She's a very talented actress who's been lucky enough to work alongside Johnny Depp and Tim Burton in my second favourite (the first being Sweeny Todd) Tim Burton film, Ed Wood.
She was also my favourite character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Drusilla. The way she potrayed the character was brilliant.
She's also a very interesting person and i would love to talk to her. And she's stunning, who wouldn't want to look as beautiful as her!

I'm going to Devon for just over a week, i might have internet access...but then again i might not. So just a warning, i won't be able to post any sets unless i'm really lucky.
 
H&W-Guin is recovering from the loss of her home. She's refusing to move from the one spot, or eat for the time being.
 
WTGW- Bronwyn has gone to visit her sister in England after she hears she's in hospital. Why? We'll have to wait to find out.
 
LDOE- I don't even know if i have a part yet. But i'm ever hopeful =]

1/25 Anne Boleyn, the historical figure, not any of the actresses, or film respresentations of her.
 
I figured i may as well start off with one of the two historical figures i admire (the other being Catherine of Aragon). I think that Anne is such a good role model (not for the supposed incest and such) because she was very determined and ambitious, she knew how to get what she wanted and i think that's an attribute we should try to have. She was a strong minded powerful woman and i respect her.
 
I've only got a partial list of the people i'm going to use for this challenge, and it could change about a bit...here it is so far.

Deep within the Inner City there is a small theater. This is where Summer works. She is the star performer. A musician, a ballerina, and a stage actor, Summer is a busy girl. Her life is ruled by her work. When she isn't performing, she is practicing. Admired by many fans, Summer is a petite girl with a pretty round face. Many men send her small gifts of perfume and fake flowers, but Summer pays no attention. She is in love with performance. Those who know Summer as more than just theater goers, worry about her sanity. She is eccentric. Odd in every way. A psychiatrist might even diagnose her with OCD. Particular, obsessive, and in her own little world, Summer truly doesn't grasp her fame in the town of Lazarus.

I really like the sound of this character, i also dance and act and i know that, when you are involved in it, it does take up most of your life. Not that it's a problem, because most of the time you're doing it because you love it.
I think this character could be taken down a lot of paths and i'd like to see where she goes.

Anyway, my dog's been constantly barking for the last hour and a bit, no idea why though, she doesn't need food or water. She doesn't need to go outside and she's just been for a walk. Usually, if she's like this she just wants attention but whenever we go in the room she just carries on.
 
I tried been all magical and used 'silencio' but it didn't work...

Tuesday, Aug 2nd---The fires of August are starting in the hills; watch them burn and blot out the sun.
 
The flames leapt out from behind the rolling hills, the smoke leading the way, acting as a warning to those in the fire's path. It had no mercy, burning and charring everything in its way, turning the trees to charcoal and the plants to dust. It consumed everything.
 
Sparks flew everywhere as it leapt and raged through the trees, a rain of fire killing everything. It was out of control. And it scared Guin.
 
She had been hiding behind some rocks, she had moved there as soon as the smoke had started to rise. She lay there cowering, hoping that some small miracle would stop the flames from destorying her home. Guin was superstitious, she remembered every tiny old wives tale, every twisted story she had heard as a child. The rain of fire was in every dark nightmare she had ever had. And it always got worse from that point.
 
Only a day passed before she was forced to move again, she chose a spot next to the edge of the forest where the fire was unlikely to reach for a few more days at least.
 
The smoke had also moved in this time. It had spread outwards and upwards, a large screen masking the destruction. It also covered the sun. There was no sunlight in the forest. Nothing to act as a symbol of hope. As the fire roared throughout the woods, the only light source was the flames themself.
 
Death and destruction passed over Guin and her home as quickly as it had arrived.
 
However, as the last embers burnt out, and the smoke disintigrated, the smell of burning and the damaged caused, remained.

My little brother turned 11 today! He's Hogwarts age. THIS IS NOT GOOD! My plan was to never let him get older so i would always have my baby brother...this obviously did not work!
 
I've been going over University prospectuses, it's really scary. I have no idea what i want to do!
 
I got as far a deciding on a few options for my A-levels. I need to pick four out of, drama, physcology, law, english language and lit and History.
 
I'm not sure about drama, it depends on what i get at GCSE. I really want to do History and Physcology and i think i should do English just so i have more points when applying for Uni. Law also looks really interesting...
 
My brain hurts...
 
Also, i've been attempting to learn Romanian...why? Because i wanted to! It was different and i already speak French and Spanish so i wanted something more interesting...but it's bloody awful. It's really hard. Although, i did switch my phone settings to Romanian and now i can say, 'back' 'main menu' 'delete' and 'send', i have no idea when on earth i'd ever need to say that though...

I'm re reading The Other Boleyn Girl.
I LOVE THAT BOOK SO MUCH!
Being honest, i'm in love with any thing set in the Tudor era. I also just finished The Tudor Wife by Emily Purdy (More Boleyn goodness), i really recommend it to anyone who likes that sort of book.
 
My obsession with the era actually started when i first covered the Tudors at school. I was instantly infatuated with the period. I will read anything about Anne Boleyn, Katherine of Aragon and Katherine Howard. They're my favourites of the Six wifes.
 
I just realised something, i hadn't mentioned this on my others sets that i made today!
 
IT'S HARRY POTTERS BIRTHDAY!
 
Also Jo Rowling's, Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley) and Joey Richter who plays Ron in AVPM and AVPS.
 
So happy birthday to Harry 'Freaking' Potter, the boy who lived and to the wonderful Jo Rowling, without whom, many lives would be boring an dull.
 
While i really don't think words can describe just how much Harry Potter has impacted on my life, i'm going to put it out there just what it Potterverse means to me.
 
I've made many of my closest friends through the fandom, via fansites, YouTube, Twitter and podcasts. I've also had a chance to make a difference and really help people through the Harry Potter Alliance.
 
When i look back on a lot of the things i've done, i realise a lot of it is because of Harry Potter. It's the reason i discovered YouTube, the reason i started to read, the reason i've met so many wonderful people!
 
In my opinion it's the reason for everything.
 
What a lot of people don't realise is that Harry Potter isn't just a fad, it really has touched a lot of peoples lives and is here to stay. A lot of people seem to think is that this will all be over after the last film. And in my opinion, that is very wrong! When i finish watching Deathly Hallows part two, i will not forget it! I will go home, and re watch all the films, i will re read all the books, this is a huge part of me and i'm not letting go of it.
 
I love the fact that the books delve in to a lot of things that most other writers wouldn't even consider writing about. It covers death in one of the most realistic and brilliant ways i have ever seen. I read alot, probably too much, and i have never read a book that talks about it in that much detail and covers the emotions of the people. Most books just glaze over the subject without really going in to it.
 
It also talks so much about the importance of love, and no not sexual relationships and the importance of having a boyfriend. But about family love and having a strong network of people who care about you. So no, Harry Potter does not go against God, promote the practise of Wicca and all that bullsh*t Laura Mallory likes to preach. Because, you know, actually the most important teaching in the bible is what now...LOVE!
 
Whenever i re read the series i find something new and it reaches out to me in a different way, and i'm sure thats also the case for most people. And thats why i love the books because they do that.
 
The books are meaningful the characters are very real to me.
 
I love Harry Potter, for so many reasons. I love how united the fandom is, e.g, after the Haiti earthquake we raised money with the HPAlliance. I love how much the books have changed me and i love how the fandom is never going to end!
 
So as you can see, i love me some Potter.
